Casa Feliz tries to cater to the needs of women in international travel. French, Spanish, English, and a smattering of German are all spoken here, and we're always willing to pick up other languages or find translators.

Our water supply is built around a catchment system, so despite frequent interruptions in city supplied water during the day, water is always available here for bathing.

Heated water is not available, but we'd prefer to describe the 'cold' showers as merely 'cool' ones.

If you wish to flaut Nicaraguan convention and get a more complete tan, Casa Feliz has a private area for catching the sun, and an outdoor shower for cooling off. We also know of a few utterly private beaches.

We stock mosquito nets, and have a complete medical kit. Ben has had medical training as well.

Nicaragua, like many Central American countries, can be a scary place, sometimes. We know where to go, and when to go, and will escort you in and out of places that are interesting but potentially dangerous.

We regularly visit several kinder, gentler breaks, especially suited for beginning and female surfers. We can also do lessons or arrange for lessons.

Most transport around here is bumpy, hot, and sweaty, ours is air-conditioned, cool, and relatively smooth.

When the surf isn't hopping, we can arrange tours of local attractions like ometepe', and also swing boat or dive trips.
